Together we can save lives

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, hospitals and healthcare systems are under a huge amount of strain. Hundreds of people have stepped up to offer their time and expertise to help build vital equipment to help patients and caregivers in need. But, for many of these initiatives, the funding and the ability to manufacture parts at scale presents a critical problem.

As a global manufacturing network, Hubs is ready to call on its hundreds of manufacturing partners across the world to produce parts fast.

Everyone can make a difference

Through our COVID-19 Manufacturing Fund, we’ve set up a way to bring together engineers who’ve designed parts that now need to be manufactured but lack the crucial funding to get it done, and those who are able to contribute the funds to make these parts a reality. Whether we are you are engineer who is innovating to help in this pandemic or someone looking for a way to support through funding, we’ve set up a way for you to contribute.

Please note, our COVID-19 Manufacturing Fund is set up to support those in need of funding, such as grassroots initiatives and not for profit organizations. If you are producing on behalf of a business but do not required additional funding, we would still love to help you produce the parts fast, but we would do that outside our Fund. In this case, please use our regular website to upload your parts directly to our platform and note COVID-19 so that we can prioritize your order.

Disclaimer

Hubs is proud to support the fight against Covid-19. While we are working on many projects to address global healthcare-related supply shortages around the world, we must balance our enthusiasm and concern with a reminder that masks, face shields, ventilator parts and other parts intended to prevent or treat Covid-19 are medical devices, which are subject to rules and regulations in the EU and in the US. These rules and regulations are in place to keep those affected by Covid-19 safe, so that we do no harm in our efforts to help.

We remind you that:

  • You are responsible for ensuring that all necessary approvals and processes are followed. Please consider local regulations, material safety data sheets, software capabilities, sterilization requirements, and institutional requirements before manufacturing parts for the Covid-19 efforts.
  • While we will do our best to pass on any manufacturing specifications, such as sterilization or other cleaning procedures while producing your parts, to our manufacturing partners, we cannot guarantee that any such procedures will be followed. Please take this into consideration when requesting production and supplying the parts to the end user.
