Hi all,
I found this community and I was wondering if some entusiast could help me to calibrate and teach me a basic knowledge about how to print with my 3D printer.
About the model is a Reprap BCN3D+ which I bought almost a year ago and It’s almost finished.
Also I can pay money in compensation, just let me know before how much.
Many thanks and looking forward to start to print

Concerning the calibration the first step could be to take a look at this post Alex posted recently : Talk Manufacturing | Hubs
The tests can help you learn your printer by practice - Learning by doing is always great

Hi,
Where are you located? Chances are you could bring it down to your local hackspace

If you would be somewhere in the Netherlands - Noord Holland than I’m also willing to help :)!

Hi Iñigo,
My name is Tiago Figueiredo and I’m a Product Designer and an Expert in Digital Fabrication and Conputation expert.
I graduated from Fab Academy 2014 and I already built a CNC Shapeoko and now I have a Prusa i3 Hephestos at my place. I’ve built it and have been maintaining it for the last 6 months.
I would be glad to help you in your needs. Where are you located, London? I’m from Lisbon. Reply to my post if you’re interested to discuss this further.
I’m looking forward to hear from you soon. Have a nice day.
Best regards,
Tiago Figueiredo
I’ve been using this priner for 6 months now. I can help with the use , not the building and calibration.
Hi Iñigo,
I’ve been in RepRapBCN for one month one year ago, so I have some experience with their printers, tell exactly what you need and I’ll try to help you!
Is your printer already working, so you just need to calibrate it? I think they have a nice user manual, maybe you can ask them to send you a copy.
Best regards,
Javier

Wow, many thanks for all your responses. It’s my first post and I though I was posting in the forum of London. About where I live, it’s in Tower Hamlets (E3), London.
Hope I can be near of one of you!
The printer has everything setup but the cristal surface on the top of the hot bed. I had some issues with one of the vertical axis and some circuits inverted because all are fixed. Now I have many doubts about how to finish it and the documentation is a bit short in explanation and the fabric is in Barcelona :d
Thanks anyways!
Im in London, it’s a bit far but thanks anyways
Great resorces! thanks Denny
Your close to London hackspace then.
They have a thriving 3d printer group.

Hi Javier, Thanks for your help. I didn’t have opportunity to see this printer mounted neither to make a workshop so I feel quite unsecured about some steps. My biggest issues are
- vertical axis doesn’t move symmetrically.
- also about the hotbed, how to setup the crystal and calibrate. It’s a bit confusing for me
- The fan placed next to the extruder is not working. I tried to change everything or launch gcode to activate all fan and nothing. I tried also warming up the hotbed and extruder but i doesn’t start. Is there command to get the status of a periferic?
Hope this tell you more about my problems.
Best regards,
Iñigo
Thanks ccadic but I am still two steps before start to use it
About the printer, have you done good use of the printer?
Hi Tiago,
thanks for your interest but I am a bit far from Lisbon, if I go there It would be great to see some of your works. About me, I am just starting. I want to make some objects and jewels but still technical issues to start to make things.
Best regards,
Iñigo
