Zortrax extruder breaks off support material from raft

Hi Folks

Zortrax extruder breaks off support material from raft.

I can hear the extruder snapping it off while it prints.
It is extremely loosely connected to the raft.

Any advice

It’s difficult to pin point without any additional details. Zortrax is a closed system so what you’re experiencing is either hardware or material problems. With my current knowledge of your situation:

• Try leveling the bed Platform Calibration in M Series 3D Printers | Zortrax Support Center
• Try removing the perforated build plate, cleaning and straightening it Platform Maintenance of Zortrax M200 3D Printer | Zortrax Support Center
• Make sure you are using Zortrax materials, they have a different temperature profile
• Make sure your nozzle is clean. If not, remove it while hot, let it cool (!Important) and soak it in acetone. Or just wipe the tip gently with aluminum foil while it is hot.

Additional questions:

• Try rotating the model and see if the support gets knocked off on only one particular side or its the geometry.
• Are the supports generated by Z-Suite or self constructed in the CAD (it means the supports appear before slicing)?
