I ordered this printer (various reasons) and now I was wondering how to avoid the extremely high prices of resin from xyz.
On one forum I learned that the original bottles have RFID chips in the bottom for the printer to detect type and volume of the resin.
Simply exchange the original resin by a another (make) doesn’t help, because I would also need a new original bottle with a new RFID chip.
possible(?) solution one: read and reprogram the chip. If someone knows hard- and software that I could use therefor, please let me know.
possible(??) solution two: simply pour ‘my own resin’ directly into the resin tank until the float gauge detects the correct level height and always repeat this (via an additional hose and funnel from outside) as the print progresses and the printer never has to pump new resin from the bottle. The only reason which may inhibit this solution could be that the software will realize that for the volume/geometry of the print a certain amount of resin is needed and measure the volume of the resin pumped from the original bottle (which would be zero)
Has anyone (other) experiences concerning these issue(s) ?
thnx

Just like the other XYZ printers you stuck with there stuff unless you can hack the chip. You need to hack the RFID so you can reset it every time it hits zero.
