Hi

I have a specific problem. I calibrated my Vertex K8400 quit accurately printng a cube, 25x25x10mm. It was printed with dimensions 25.01x25.00x10.00. However when I scales up the same cube to get 100x100x5mm I actually get printout which has 100.9x102.22x5mm. So again I calculated the steps to get correct dimensions and I got nearly perfect one. But printing with these step settings when I print small cube I get 24.75x24.51x10mm.

Any ideas what is possibly wrong ?

Thanks

Darek

Hello!

Have you calibrated you extruder properly before trying to calibrate the axises?

When you are calibrating the axises by measuring off a printed object the extruder calibration will play a role in the accuracy. This might, if you are unlucky, lead to printer that can only print properly when printing objects with the same dimensions as the object you calibrated the printer with. A better approach would be to measure the actual movement of the axis. That way you will know that the axis moves accurately, and can focus on the extruder to dial the printer in perfectly.

I hope this gets your printer running accurately.

Thank you Oscar for your replay. I will go

through the calibration process one more time from the begining and let you know if it helped.
