Hi j so i have a Geeetech Aluminum Prusa I3 IT’s working but i have a problem when i press the home button in repetier or with the lcd secren it works without any problem but when i move only the X axis (the one with the extruder) it only move in one way and the other 2 axis works normal so how can i fix it and

i swapped the Y axis cable that goes to the board with the X axis now the X axis work and the Y dosen’ work

thank you

Your x-axis end-stop is triggered. You can verify this by sending “M119” gcode. It will report back the status of your end-stops. If this is the case, the end-stop itself is faulty or the wiring is wrong/faulty(most likely).

thank you for your reply i tried it but it still dosent work i think the problem is from the board because i swaped the Y axis cable that goes to the board with the X axis cable and now the X axis work and the Y dosen’t work

i found the problem it’s from the stepper motor driver any idea how can i fix it

If you are sure it’s the stepper driver than you will need to replace it and monitor the heat on the new one. It may have overheated which means you need to drop the voltage and/or add some cooling/heat sinks. Also, I consider just about every part of my machines “consumables” and have spare EVERYTHING for when this stuff happens. Not only does it allow you to get back up and running quickly but you can troubleshoot much easier by swapping parts till you find the problem.
