Hello,
I am working on a school project and I am working on exact replica a microneedle patch from
admin pen with the following dimentions.

what I am trying to do is to replicate the following actual plate with
some modification(1.5mm needle length and NOT 0.5mm)
http://www.adminmed.com/array0600
the position of tongue relative to the hole is 90 degrees
and 187 tounge (needles) of hight 1.5mm located within 1 sq. cm
circular area. The entire device is 20 mm in diameter (roughly).

So far I have found 3 printers that I can have access to:
-ProJet 5500X
-Form2
-ULTIMAKER 2

Can any of these printers handle the details in this project.
Now I am not expert (never used one) but I check their datasheet, and based on what I interpreted they can do this task, am I right?
which one do you think will work best for this project?
For example Form2 says that Layer thickenss=25-100um and Laser spot size is 140mu
would this be good enough?
Thanks for your time

The ProJet and the Form2 may be able to make an attempt at a print, however even if the print is successful, the part will be very fragile. I don’t know your intentions for it, but my guess would be that none of these options are likely to work well.

Thanks for the comment. I am trying to use it as a microneedle patch. So it is supposed to penetrate the human skin (in my case: pig skin). Do you think it is still too fragile for this purpose?

I have heard that you can use wide array of materials to print in Projet 5500, so I was hoping to print it with a stronger material.

You may get better print quality if you take the Projet and print in bronzefill of some other form of metal fill if you want this to be a usable part.

If this is just for show, the Project or Form2 should be fine printing in ABS.

Please note that printing in metal fill requires stronger print heads than most standard machines and if you use a regular plastic extruder it may wear down and if its not your machine you will probably have to pay to replace it.
