If you are okay with assembling and tuning it, the Folger Tech Prusa i3 is pretty good. The kit from them is $270.

I’ll second the Printrbot Simple Metal. Fantastic build quality and extremely versatile. You also now have scope to upgrade to heated build plate, extended X and Z axis, and the new dual gear premium extruder that does a fantastic job with flexible filament.

Yes. You can just use a standard ATX PC power supply and they can be found really cheaply or even for free from old computers.
