A little of two years ago, I joined 3D Hubs. And, of course, was excited when I received my first orders.

As I processed more and more orders through 3D Hubs, I found out that I was being ‘graded’ by 3D Hubs. Started out at Level 1 and over time I ‘rose through the ranks’.

Now, after two years, I am a “Level 4 Hub - Professional”.

Wow, it even says so at my Hubs Dashboard.
Being a level 4 Hub means I am entitled to some discounts at some filaments shops.

Apart from that however, it seems that being a Level-4 Hub does not really mean anything.

When browsing through available Hubs, nowhere is your level of professionalism mentioned.

Nor is it displayed on your Hub when a potential customer is viewing it.

So, my question is, what does it mean to be a Level xyz Hub Professional?

Nahla here from 3D Hubs. Basically when a Hub rises in “Hub Level”, their perks (such as discounts) are increased and it directly affects their Hub ranking on the 3D Print page, hence, giving them more visibility due to the fact they’re able to handle orders steadily and efficiently.

Thank you for the reply. Nice to hear that, besided the perks, it will actually influence my ranking on the 3D Hubs print page.

Could you then please explain to me why, if a customer is looking for a Hub in my area (Rotterdam, Netherlands), I am listed at Page FOUR!!

Can you then also explain to me why there are Hubs ranked above mine which have had less than five (5) orders (no response time listed), have had only 1-3 reviews and/or have received their last reviews sometimes a YEAR ago???

Are there any perks for non-European non-FDM printers at higher levels? Any chance of convincing FormLabs for even a 5% discount? :slight_smile:

I thought it was just a video game and I was unlocking achievements! Then I found out that there are levels above the currently published levels and now I think the game is unbeatable… We should at least get some shiny badges for unlocking new achievements?
