Hi Everyone,

Today we’re excited to launch our Definitive Guide to 3D Printing, a place on 3D Hubs to take you through the how, what and why of 3D Printing! The reason we put this together was to offer an informative but simple route through the complex world of 3D printing.

We worked with a selection of Hubs around the world to create the videos, images and knowledge base to help make the definitive guide contain the most accurate information possible. Here’s a link to the video playlist where we went inside the workshop to show how each technology goes from file to finished print.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we did putting it together! Of course it goes without saying this is a community resource, so feel free to share with your friends, colleagues and customers.

Cheers

George

Looks very good. An excellent resource for people just starting out.

Only slight change I would make (because I do this type of calculation) is that you mention repeatability and say there is a difficulty with getting similar results from different machines. Definition: repeatability is the ability to repeat the exact same results using the same conditions (same machine, same operator, etc). Reproducibilty is the ability to reproduce results with different conditions (different machines, operators, etc.). You are talking about reproducibility. There is an entire industry around doing R&R (repeatability and reproducibility) calculations and reducing the differences in both.

But that’s just me being a bit of a stick in the mud. I will definitely point people towards this site.

No stick in the mud! Thanks for letting me know, will communicate it to the team, thanks for your kind words.

Great job. You are absolute legends.

I’ve been looking for a definitive resource to refer customers to!

Thanks

Thanks.

Wow, it’s beautiful!!

Great guide! An incredible amount of useful information. We also published a guide recently: a guide to dual head printing.

Wow! This is an awesome guide for me to refer customers too! It’s always so difficult trying to explain SLA 3D Printers to a novice…

Thanks for the great guide!
