Hello,
I have a Wanhao Duplicator4 with this Z-axis:
http://www.printme3d.com/essentials/spare-parts/wanhao/wanhao-z-axis.html
When I use the bed leveling wizard it will fully lower the bed and I can see the top of this bar moving from left to right. It seems like it is not straight or not mounted straight. It surprises me that there isn’t something holding it at the top.
Do I need to worry? We are talking millimeters here. This machine is a week old, should I contact support?
Thanks for the replies

It’s somewhat usual to have the upper end of the axis unmounted, meaning it can tilt in any direction. You’ll most likely have two linear guide rods. The spindle isnt mounted at the top, so that it can adjust itself, if it’s not perfectly parallel to the other rods. If you would mount the spindle at both ends, it could jam, if it’s misaligned. You shouldn’t face any problem, if you manage to level the bed perfectly. Cheers, Marius Breuer

Allright. It does have dual rods so I guess I have nothing to worry about. I appreciate the response, thank you.
Hey @MrFex, moving forward make sure to also add tags to your threads, to increase the reach and the response from relevant communities. I’ve added Wanhao for you for this thread. Anyway you’re in good hands with Marius this time

Thank you. I Will put some effort into that. I am new here and i didnt Think about it.
No worries, @MrFex
It was just a tip to help you get more response on your query. Hope it helps
Nothing to worry about mine does the exact same thing. I don’t think it really matters because you have two guides keeping the bed straight and it’s only moving tiny amounts in the actual print process.
