Hi guys
I looked all arround and im having a HARD time decideing. I know there is a thread here about this, but this is the PRO version of da vinci, so before all the Da Vinci haters go on about locked firmware and fillerment, just remember that the PRO is open source fillerment ect.
I like both, and hear good things about booth. Wanhao looked more like something you upgrade alot, and a tinkers dream, and the Da Vinci more ready to go, but not so upgradeable !?
They both make really good looking prints…
(i build a Mini Kossel Delta printer, so im not new to 3d Printing)
Thank you so much guys !!
oh…just saw the other post !! sorry guys, but if you have any other input please let me know
The XYZ is the easy bake oven of 3D printers. You can either run a Di3 right out of the gate or do some modding. I choose to mod my Di3 instead of wishing I could do more with an XYZ. I’ve done about everything to my Di3 that can be done except the one to increase the build to I think 12"x8x7. Wife bought me the XYZ for Christmas but after about a week it went back and the i3 took over. Love it… 20, 30, 40, 70 up to 200 micron layers… I’ll take it! By the way, modding my Di3 has cost me less than $60 to mod. Micro Swiss all metal hot end and Melzi heat control included…
Thank you for your answer !! I think the Di3 is a good choice for my tinker heart
The out of the box with laser option is just a nice feature of the XYZ
My advice get a Prusa i3 mk2
I would honestly go with the Wanhao. You can upgrade and change parts on it where you have to buy proprietary parts from XYZ to replace anything.
Ah, so I see you’d decided. Apologies
The 10fornick coupon is good on www.beautiful3dprinters.com as I said in my previous post if you’d like to purchase your i3 through our store. Free shipping worldwide
All the best!

Hi @Nick_Ventura!
Just thought I’d chime in here.
If you decide to go with the Wanhao i3 we can offer you the best price you’ll find online, with free worldwide shipping and you’ll find a sweet 10% off using the coupon “10fornick” at checkout. That will bring the cost down to around $360~ USD.
I’ve set that coupon code to expire on Friday at midnight EST so if you’d like to take us up on it you’ll need to act before then.
You can find us here https://beautiful3dprinters.com/collections/frontpage/products/wanhao-i3-fully-assembled-steel-frame-version-2-1#tabs-2
Best of luck with your decision!
