Issue with printing with ABS I am able to get the Extruder to heat up to a temperature higher than 240 degrees doing my head in

Hi Kevin,

If I remember correctly the temp probe was replaced in a later issue, have you installed the new one as you temp probe might have failed resulting in it reporting the wrong temp?

I have a similar problem just heating to 185 on PLA. It won’t go above 173. This seems to be due to the fans cooling the hotend too much preventing the software triggering the print process at the correct temp. By stopping the fan on the side with a finger the temp will rise to trigger printing. a permanent cure is still needed.

I have the same problem as focussys- the cooling fan cools the extruder! I have tried changing the angle and everything but it hits the print bed etc. Anyone else had the same issue and resolved it? I’m honestly thinking about just removing the fan altogether.

I believe a later edition adds a new temp probe and swaps the two fans around. The firmware update takes care of the swap and can control the speed of the fan to lower its airflow. This allows the probe to reach printing temperature and start the print.
