Hi ,

We need to print a bunch of parts using the 3Dhubs’ 3d print service ( where we upload a file and we find a provider to print for us).

However our parts need support material.

How can we make sure we select a service provider that is able to do support material and remove it with their printer ?

I couldn’t find a filter option in the search for providers. There is a long list of printer types and we are not sure which ones have support material and which ones don’t. And in their profiles the providers don’t say if they can do support material or not.

Thanks for the help !

George

Printing with support structure is very common. Any hub can do this. How well they do it can certainly vary. I specialize in difficult prints.

You can contact me at my hub if you want to discuss further.

All printers can print supports. I could print this for you and also remove the supports before shipping.

If you look at our hub, https://www.3dhubs.com/norrköping/hubs/kaproco, we have a printer called Objet Eden 250. This machine uses a water soluble support material that doesn’t leave any marks and gives you a perfect print. A little more expensive then the FDM/FFF machines but you can’t compare the quality of the printed object.

Hey @George_21, after you upload your file to print, select material and choose your hub, you can request support material either in your comments to the hub during the “Order Details” stage, or after you have submitted your print request, there is a menu to the right on the order page where you can request additional services from the hub you have selected. I hope this helps in the future!

Hey

it all depends. In general every Hub can do this.

Just send your file to any hub and ask for advice.

I would say this is the fastest way to get your job done.

Usually Hubs that cannot print your part will forward you to a hub that can do it or at least advice.

best regards

Andreas
