Hi, Im new to 3D printing and would like some advice regarding the installation of sailfish on my CTC Replicator Dual printer. Im using an Apple Mac and have managed to install Sailfish version 7.7 software on the printer just fine using the Replicator Single/Dual 1.5 option then shutting down and restarting both application and printer however, I noticed the ReplicatorG 40 – Sailfish application seems to be missing the Machine Type (Driver) - Replicator Dual (Sailfish) option (see photo).

I have not gone any further as Im aware that I have to select the correct version with (sailfish) specified at the end, so im unable to reset the printer, test it, or enter the offset values taken previously into the softwares I dont want to mess anything up any further.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to rectify this proble? Can I simply try re-downloading the Sailfish application? Please help.

As far as I’m aware the driver is the same for saolfosh and makerbot firmwares

Replicator Dual is probably as good as you are going to get. RepG is very outdated.

Ok however when reading the RepG documentation it states to use the Replicator Dual (Sailfish) selection after update, but this is what is missin on my copy of RepG-sailfish 40r33 so im really unsure wether to proceed with Rep Dual option or wether I do indeed need the one with (Sailfish)?

Am i not supposed to be seeing (sailfish) option as in this RepG documentaion picture?

I’m not sure what guide you’re following; I don’t recall that step when I did it.

I am guessing you have a different version of RepG than in the pic. Remember that this software is OLD!! I would google on how to update the firmware for your machine. Seems I remember about some things to watch out for.

Ive managed to sort it now I just deleted RepG-Sailfish and Makerbot just to be on safe side and re-installed them both, now the option for Replicator Dual (Sailfish) has finally appeared, not sure why it was missing in the first place but its working now. I can finally test out the printer with the new sailfish 7.7 update now!!
