I am revisiting this. I live in a sparsely populated area outside of town and the map view basically pinpoints my house. I do not like this as I do not intend for people to pick up at my place unless I know who they are. But, more importantly, I feel this targets me to a much too specific of an area and could make me vulnerable to people who may use this for wrong doing. I think the default should be to show the center location for the zip code. Also give the option to turn off the map location.

I agree, considering most hubs are run out of people’s homes, it shouldn’t give out the exact location of the hub until after an order has been paid.

This here is the big problem I see with the address verification process.

I agree as well. I also live out in the country surrounded by more horses and corn fields than people.

@wirlybird switching off the ‘pick up’ option should do the job

edit: I just checked it - it works as expected. Here’s how: Go to your dashboard -> Pickup & Shipping -> switch off ‘pick up’ at the top of the page -> done

Thanks but I know that.

All that accomplishes is removing the pickup option and now people don’t know there is a pickup option which is what most want.

Which means they may just skip you by.

3dHubs make it hard enough by putting me in an area that is hundreds of miles away to start with.

Counter productive.

Exactly me!

This would work ok. That way you at least have more confidence the person is for real.

I don’t know how much criminals are “cruzing” 3DHubs but I know on Craigslist it is a real concern. They do a similar map-location. You can turn it off on theirs.

Have to say I’m with you on this
doesn’t take much to pinpoint my house either but if you’re going to offer pickup I think it is mandatory?
