I’ve been busy, and maybe not seen them / auto-deleted them, but has there been a trends report lately?
I’m a small hub that cannot afford to have lots of colour choices on hand. Based on trends report from over a year ago, I made a choice to stock white & black as those were the #1 & 2 colours. (I had a couple other colours from specific projects I did. They weren’t popular, so once they ran out I stayed with just b&w).
Now I’m thinking I can afford to have a 3rd colour on hand, but want to know what it should be for maximum sales potential.
And does the colour choice vary much by region? If so, it would be for the central North American market.

Hi @ehud42, you can always find the most recently published Trend Report here: 3D printing trend report | Hubs
It doesn’t contain a color distribution chart like the previous reports however as there has never been a significant change from white and black being the most popular color choices for orders. I hope that clarifies things

Thanks! Based on the Q3-2016 report (https://www.3dhubs.com/trends/q3-2016), Blue is #3, followed by Red at #4.

Hi @ehud42 where do you get your filament from? I make a point of allowing customers to ask for any colour they want; my supplier can deliver next day and customers are usually happy to extend delivery time by a day or so if they know they’ll get the colour they want. Rather than restricting your Hub to showing only limited colours, perhaps you could consider doing something similar - as long as you have a filament supplier that’s reliable.
