I found that the base, that is printed by the micro, can easily be removed with a soft guitar plectrum…

Good idea, protecting the BuildTak is a big deal for what it costs. I use a Cricut Spatula (mostly because I already have one, and an identical tool was included with my first 3d printer), but metal tools should be avoided. Has anyone tried the “Skrapr”? http://www.theskrapr.com
