A plastic bit snapped on tge tension belt and a spring flew out the side of the printer wgile it was idling and doing nothing… pictures attahed… how do I fix?

Thats the X belt tensioner, they are known to break, had mine go twice. If you know anyone with a working machine, you can print them (design on thingiverse. Alternatively, get a local hub to print one for you on 3D Hubs. Bit of advice, once your machine is working again, print a few out as spares.

If you can rig it up long enough to print one more time, here’s a replacement. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:633070

Hi, you could get someone to print a replacement part:

Where are you based?

Also, from your picture, looks like some of the plastic may still be in the holder, make sure you’ve got it all out.

It looks like you broke the x axis tensioner. Luckly there are several models on Thingiverse for suitable replacement. I would recommend that you pick one and order from 3dhubs.

You look like you have this all sorted but I thought I’d link something to help.

Maybe a fix on thingiverse.com, you are probably not the only one. And there are a lot of repair parts there

It appears as if the x axis tensioner of your printer has broken. But do not worry. You could buy its suitable replacement from hoards of sites and fit them for printing similar gorgeous 3D objects.
