Hi all,

I had the Little Monster warming up to start a print when the machine powered down.

The machine no longer does any sort of booting up when turned on and only displays 4-5V on the power box.( Including no LED’s, noises etc.)

The power box has a slight zapping sound coming from it, so I think something has gone wrong there.

Any help would be amazing.

Cheers,

Kuramai

Note: I would include a video but it would just be an off printer with 4-5V on the display, not much to see.

Do you have a power meter? I could walk you through testing the leads on the PSU. You would need to remove the cover

If this is the first time turning the machine on, make sure you have the power supply switched to the proper supply voltage. If you are in the states, make sure the switch is set to 110 and not 220. If it’s set to 220 (which is default, btw) it will actually read 24V until there is a load (e.g. hot end heating up). Then, I would test the power supply first by disconnecting everything and reading with a multimeter (or leave the onboard one connected). If it still reads 4-5V on the meter then the power supply is likely toast.

I have been testing prints for the previous two days, I’m in Australia so the wall ports are 240V. it was working perfectly then just shut off.

I could go find one, but I fear that opening it may void some warranty, I’m waiting to hear back from customer support.

Okay. Let me know if you need my help

I suspect the power supply is toast then; hopefully, Tevo will send you a new one.

Actually, what you could do is disconnect/unscrew the cable that runs from the power supply to the mainboard enclosure and turn it on. If it still reads 4/5V on the display then the power supply is definitely toast.

This is the case, thank you, I’ll update my email with Tevo.
