I successfully executed my plan to take over the cubicle next to mine. BwaHaHaHaHaHaaaaa.
It’s great being the only person doing 3D printing in my office (for now - more people will get trained).

@RCole if I were in your shoes, I’d set up my own business and make sure the company you currently work for use you are their supplier…

A nice thought. Unfortunately, the company’s 3D printing center is on the other side of the country and runs multiple banks of printers - including a bank of 100 Ultimaker 2+ machines. I can’t afford to compete with that. My one measly printer (when it’s delivered) can’t print fast enough.

May I ask what does your company do?

Contract manufacturer. Mostly electronics and medical supplies/equipment. We have facilities in 34 countries. Always pushing the limits and testing/adopting new technologies. Have to stay on the cutting edge in these fields.

Makerbot was bought by Stratasys and if you read through the Stratasys web site, you will find that they use a company called Shemer to build their machines. See: http://www.shemer.com/
You might notice that Shemer had a slight name change recently.
