Hi Everyone, we are currently fading out ABS as is contains harmful chemicals that are not bio-compatible with us or the environment. Does anyone have recommendations for ABS alternatives?. We are looking at PLA at the moment, which also comes as a composite material mixed with wood or copper.
Cheers

For composite PLA materials you might want to check out ProtoPasta they have some cool filament blends.
You can also try using PETG or HIPS.
Check out Colorfabb’s PLA-PHA, which has similar properties as ABS and is 100% bio-degradable
Great really appreciate the advice,
Also in developing the sustainable practice of the studio we are trying to find any where that with recycle the spools, discarded building 3D printing building material and the sealed bags that they arrive in - does anyone know of recycling program for this type of waste in New Zealand??
Kind regards
Niall
