hi,

I am studying the compression behaviour of additive manufactured cellular plastics. I intend to use polyjet 3d printer to fabricate the cellular plastic based on the CAD model. I 've attached the image of my structure here.

NOTE: This structure has interconnected pores.

My problem is that I don’t know how to remove the support that forms in the pores. I tried water blasting and it was not enough.

The support material seems to be similar to wax. Is there any chemical leaching method that could be used to remove the support from the pores?
your help will be very much appreciated!

Why don’t yoy have a try with ABS or PLA and use PVA ( water soluble) for support to fill the holes. the you only have tou use water to extract the support!

Oh sorry Prassanna, you use a polyjet so this doesn’t count!

3S SYSTEM is using wax on the multijet technology? You can remove the wax with cooking oil warm at around 55°c.
