Hello all, I am relatively new to the 3D printing scene but I have found it is incredibly useful in my computational chemistry groups research of solid state systems. Being a comp. chem group, most of our computers and clusters run on some linux or linux-like OS. As such, we all have a high level of affection for Tux, the linux penguin so I tried printing a small statue of him. The print was going mostly fine (a few tweaks I need to make but still ending in good quality) until the top of his head. The top of his head is filled with holes and pitting making it look like you can see his brain. I use a monoprice maker select v2 and hatchbox pla. After this print I printed the test elephant to see if it is the printer or some setting. A beautiful elephant was printed so I am left to assume it is a setting. Since Tux I have printed some other molecules and clusters and have been getting very similar results with the sides of objects looking pretty good but the tops being especially atrocious. Any insight would be wonderful, thank you!
