Hi. Got my Delta Wasp 2040 yesterday and tried printing one of the models (Arya the Dragon) on the SD card that was in the printer on delivery. The print was working fine, but since it was making a lot of noise and the print was taking a long time (the model is pretty huge) I decided to try the stop and save function to stop it before going to bed and continue the day after. I clicked “stop and save” and the printing stopped while the extruder went to the home-position and the info-panel said “saving”.

This morning I started the printer and selected the RESURR.G file that had been made on the SD card when I saved it last night. The printer said “Heating…” on the info-panel and I could see the temperature rise to 100 degrees as I had read that it should, but then nothing happened. The extruder stayed in the home-position while the panel still said “heating…”. After 45 minutes I decided to try to heat the PLA to 190 degrees by using the PLA-heating function that you can find under Prepare in the menu. I could see the temperature rise even more, to 190, but then about 5 or 10 minutes later the info-panel said “Timeout heating”. Nothing happened after that and after 30 minutes more I decided to try to cut the power to see if maybe it would start again after I restarted the machine.

After restarting I tried to start printing from the RESURR.G file again but then it said that it was corrupt. I´m guessing that happened when I cut the power and the printer tried to save over the old RESURR.G file and that didn´t work out some how.

But I am wondering what went wrong here in the first place? Should I have just waited more than 45 minutes for it to resume printing? How long does it usually take to start resuming?

Regards,

Frode
