Hello and thanks for taking the time to read this, I’ve only started printing and have just been dloading files to print. I have a filament printer and was wondering is there an easy way to split a 2 part print. The file is jets for the Raza from Dark Matter
jets.PNG
I want to split and print seperatly, to stop any webbing between the two parts,

any help would be great,

many thanks,

Damian

I use Repetier a lot for printer control and it splits up parts (that are not touching) very well. Aside from that, you might want to download the free version of netfabb. It has a few useful tools, including cutting up .stl’s. If you want more tools to play with, you can always check out some of the awesome free software Autodesk has been putting out lately. Meshmixer and 123design are pretty powerful but there is a little bit more of a learning curve if you don’t have any 3d design experience.

That’s great thank you, I think I’ll try repetier first and work from there
