Today I have recieved 2 orders from customers with…strange parts. Both are of large cost ($50+) and both are needed via post within the timeframe I have listed as when the print can be completed. Im very suspicious as the two clients have very suspicious ways of speaking and their accounts are merely hours old with over 10 orders pending. Is there any danger in accepting such orders? If it is paid for, i print and send it, can they reverse the charge and im out of pocket? Or does 3Dhubs have protection from this?

I would be careful, the site is being spammed for some days now, and it could be spreading to orders,

wait until you heard back from 3DHubs before accepting the orders.

Hey @Cory_Sinclair,

I wouldn’t worry about that. The Talk Spam bots are unrelated and not really dangerous for the real orders. If the customer pays (and the order goes to printing stage) - The money is guaranteed to be with us. So if you see that the customer has paid - everything is normal.

Your mentioned customer seems to be a one of the “shotgun” users who simply really needs the part printed because he took quite some effort to place so many orders

Hmmmmm. Has the customer already paid you? If so, then you’re all good. If you print the order, they can’t easily get a refund. However, if the customer hasn’t already paid, then I would wait to hear back from 3D Hubs. (That does sound suspicious).

I hope this helps, and good luck!

I had an order once that seemed strange, the person had 6+ pending orders. They paid though and I completed and shipped the order to the next state over. I think its someone just unsure of how 3dhubs works or they are testing multiple hubs to gauge the quality, service and pricing before placing bigger orders or multiple pieces.

I looked at the persons status a while later and they had a few canceled orders and few completed.
