As the title says guys, I’m still very,very happy with my davinci Jnr, with some amazing prints of it, have a great model collection, I’m still annoyed at the terrible DRM system that XYZ incorporate into the Jnr.

with 3D printing now becoming a massive hobby, they really should stop this now, and just release firmware that does not require us to get spools with filament still left on the reel.

completly wrong in my opinion.

Anyway now my mini crusade is done, lol, simple question…has anyone cracked this yet.

i know about the phone NFC hack, but it’s not possible for me as I don’t have an NFC device.

but surely this farmdown the line, someone must have figured this out…?

There isnt a computer level solution without installing new firmware on your printer. You can however buy one of the filament reset chips from ebay but that isnt free and i get the feeling you dont want to spend anything

Thanks for the reply mate, but the chip resetters are for the normal davinci 1.0, they don’t work on the Davinci Jnr.

Had I known the cartridges were DRM protected, I would had never made the purchase. GEARBEST has some inexpensive printers that take generic filament
