I’m running into an issue slicing with Cura. I have a Kodama Trinus, so have been using Pango for slicing. It’s a fairly simplistic slicer, and when I ran into some issues with banding and poor finish on flat surfaces, I decided to give it a go with Cura. When I ran the print, it took care of the banding and flat surfaces, however I lost a mesh pattern on top, apart from a few edges. The mesh is formed by 0.4mm lines 0.5mm deep, describing 2mm squares. Layer thickness is 0.1mm. I’ve verified the object is solid in F360, and I’m at a loss as to what the issue could be.

I don’t use Cura but I would run the STL through a fixer such as Netfabb or makeprintable.com to veriy that the model is ok. What it sounds like is the areas are to thin for however Cura is set up.

Check that your nozzle size defined in the machine type is set to 0.4mm. If it’s larger it’ll skip those walls.

If it doesn’t run that path try with the old cura 1.5.04.6 The new one seems to have safety measures in and does stuff without saying.

Make printable claims no errors. I have yet to try netfabb.
