Could any of these printers print a tool-case with exterior dimensions are 23"Lx8"Wx16"H?
My printer can print 8.25"L x 8.5"W x 26"H. Most of the time it is easy to design parts to be broken up to fit inside the envelop that is available. You won’t find very many printers with a build volume larger than this.
How easy would it be to connect the two halves? Would it effect the functionality of the case?
I’d really need to see the design to be certain but I’ve had very good luck using mating dovetails or puzzle piece geometry and then using either my 3d printing pen or industrial glue to adhere the 2 parts together. I’ve attached a picture of a project that I did that consists of 9 parts all interlocked and “welded” with my 3d printing pen.
