I have some old sterling silver forks that I would like to copy? What is the best way to achieve this. I have a silver smith you can copy off a mold? Thanks

Hi Lera, Depending on your location I can 3d laser scan the fork itself or the mold. You can mail me the forks. Not sure about the mold. Ft. Worth texas

You could use the reverse mold copy service(need polymer clay impressions) from my hub.

I am in Dallas near Downtown. If I brought you the fork what material would you suggest using - I would then send my silver smith… THX

If you already have a mold, then it is even easier. Any soft mold material(as soft as modeling clay) is fine. The best resolution I could do is 0.05mm(much more than most laser scanners). The scan is insensitive to reflections(for silverware).

The other hub 3DbuildR appears to have a better scanner than mine
