Just wondering is there a way to get a shorter url link to my hub. I was thinking of creating some business cards but I dont like having to include such a long address to put on there. What are your thoughts guys?

Hey @Arealious2016, you could indeed use any of the URL shortening services.
I’ve also made you a custom link for your Hub : http://3dhu.bs/eCmIq6
Hope this helps

You could also set up your own website and put the embeddable order widget on it. You then also save 5% off the 3dhubs fee

You could buy a domain and just forward it to your hub page.

@Arealious2016,
If you want a properly formed short link in the form of [Hub Name].3Dhubs.link let me know. I may need to charge $1 a year to cover domain costs unless everybody wants a shortlink. Right now the main domain 3dhubs.link will forward to 3dhubs.com and the SoC subdomain will point to my hub.
Short links like http://3dhu.bs/eCmIq6 are LESS convenient for consumers than memorable or more human readable urls like hub.soc3d.us or soc.3dhubs.link You can see how much easier the latter two are to type and remember.
QR codes are another way to go though they come with many drawbacks. Mostly phone users don’t typically have a qr app and marketing peeps who study these things find the majority of people don’t use qr codes and those who do would find a human readable short url much more convenient.
are you kidding me?
You can buy a domain yourself for like 1 or 2 dollars a year. So it would be cheaper to do it yourself (Enough tutorials in the net that explains how to).
The need for shorter links is usefull to add in bussiness cards etc. writing a link to someone else’s page (fa. your soc3d) is not wise since you have all the power over that domain and can change it whenever you want.

I said “might” and perhaps you should hide under a rock if you get offended so easily. Please show me a convenient domain name for $1-$2 per year? Also, I’m not sure if you are aware, not everyone on the internet is a nazi (see Godwin’s law) or a scam artist. Hosting a hub on 3Dhubs.com “is not wise since you [3D Hubs] have all the power over that domain and can change it whenever you want.”
