Hi, I have the problem that ABS prints shrink a bit on my ultimaker2. Is there a possibility to manipulate the settings in cure (or an other slicer) to take care of this? It is a pain in the a… to change manual the dimensions to take care of this. I need the prints precise as designed.

Thanks for any idea.

Yep, it’s an advanced setting in the new version of Cura (15.0). You can access this setting by activating it in the cura preferences.

Hi Stef_en_Paul,

I have the newest version of Cura. But I don’t find where I can change something. I am using Cura on a MAC. Can this be different?

Ciao

Maybe it only works with an Ultimaker? Not sure.

This is how I access the setting:

Cura dropdown -> preferences -> machine -> horizontal expansion

Then you can use this setting from the ‘advanced’ settings mode in the righthand tab on the regular Cura screen.

It took me a while to figure out how to use the new Cura as well, take your time - it’s pretty awesome once you get the hang of it!

This menu does not exist in the version 15.02.1 which I am running

The drop down looks shows me only: hide Cura, hide others, show all and Quit Cura.

The bout Cura is shown under the help button.

I switched to Ultimaker original as machine, and nothing changed.

Ah, I’m running 15.06, maybe that’s the problem!

AAAAHHHHHHH, I checked for an update, but Cura did not tell me.

Now I have also the 15.06 and I see the menu.

Thanks for your help. Now I have something to test for this issue.
