Hello guys!

I am new to your forum. Let me go directly to my request. So, I go to a school of only 250 students in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. In the beginning of our school year, I was chosen by my friends as the Student Council President, with one promise, that I would get us a 3D printer. Although I have done some research, I wanted to get your opinion guys on which 3d printer is the best under 1000 Dollars. Because we live so far away we will have to order it online. We were thinking to charge students for their prints according to printing time/ amount of material. So what 3d printer should fit our budget and purpose?

Hi Kerem,

For a school full of kids around the printer, I recommend you to buy one that has an enclosure, for more safety. Prusa is a very good printer brand but if you are new to 3d printing go for an easy to use, just click and print right out of the box with less maintenance 3d printer that comes with at least one year free replacement. Here at 3Dhubs you can find the ranking of 3d printers and make your final decision: https://www.3dhubs.com/best-3d-printer-guide

Hope this helps you to choose a right model for your projects at school.

Best,
Shahram

Very good printers

What about FlashForge 3D printers - pretty good reviews. I have the dremel 3D40 in my classroom, which is similar to the FlashForge Dreamer - pretty good.

For your budget there is absolutely zero doubt the Prusa i3 MK2

Just look online at the reviews. The printer gives results comparable to printers that cost 3-5X as much. I own an Ultimaker 2+ Extended, and the MK2 will be my next purchase 100%
