So with all the changes going on recently, I was wondering if there are any plans to rework the order page so it’s a bit more friendly to 3D modeling work. I do mechanical modeling for customers usually as a standalone order, this way a customer can have an STL in hand from one order and can either choose to print with me as a new order, or take it to a different Hub.

As it’s currently set up, it’s a bit awkward with shipping options and all that, seeing as none of it’s needed for modeling work. It’s also a bit frustrating to have to wait for the allotted “shipping time” to run out before getting paid, seeing as the whole process is digitally done. It’s fine as is for simple model repair, but my customers get a bit confused by it if I’m modeling something for them from scratch. Any plans for this in the works/how do other Hubs deal with this?

Definitely a good idea. We should support modeling and other service better on 3D Hubs. We’re planning on rebuilding the entire order page soon but for now it is not an easy fix that we could implement quickly.
