Recently my Flash Forge printer is doing some random movements in the middle of a print job. Before the random movement the printer pauses a little bit then performs the random movement. There is no extrusion of plastic or any other thing just a random movement (outside of the current shape). The print continues and finishes normally, however this happens more than once during a print. Any ideas what it could be? I’ve been printing quite a while and never had problems … I’m suspecting it is something that has to do with the SD card since the printer is pausing a little before performing the move …

Are you saying that the print head randomly moves, then returns to the correct place and continue printing, without messing up the print?

What software are you using?

I think I might have an idea of the issue, but need a few more details…

If the print is finishing correctly, could it be your cooling setting?

I know that replicatorg had a cooling setting that would move the print head off the print for a period of time so the layer could cool, then would return to finish the print.

This would typically be when you are printing smaller parts of the print.
