I was thinking of getting into 3D printing and would like something inexpensive. I would say i am pretty good at assembling things so I think I will be fine with that. However I saw that makers muse (i dont really know how credible he is but he seems fine) had issues with firmware and was wondering if they were fixed. If you have any other suggestions for printers that are good for people new to the hobby, that aren’t too expensive that would be great (as well as other tips for new people).
PS this was also posted on the subreddit but im not getting much response

Hi,
I am new to 3D Printing also, got an Anet A8 for Xmas and spent 3 days assembling it, worked slowly and carefully to avoid as many mistakes as possible, I have printed out a few Items I have downloaded the files for with great success, had no setup problems and printing exceeds my expectations for a low cost printer.
I like the Anet because it is a “brand” so you can chase up parts and upgrades for it, some of the generic “Prusa’s” it may not be so easy .
Hope this helps from a complete novice.
