Hello,

Kindly look at the images in the provided Gdrive folder.

It has pics of the three objects.

  1. Marvin Key-chain

  2. Raspberry Pi Sleeve Case

  3. 40 mm Fan Duct

As seen in the images Marvin has some issues in between the two legs, and eyes are also not perfect.

In Raspi case some layer displacement for few columns is clearly visible.

In fan duct some burrs are there and one big blob at top side.

Kindly help me in rectifying these issues, as I am not getting a perfect print for any of the usable objects I tried.

I am using FabX Pro with frosted glass on aluminum bed. Material is PLA.

Hi

From my experience, the printer can’t shift layers and go back to normal at the same position of multiple layers, it can’t be a coincidence. The problem of shifting could be an issue in model itself.

Regarding the Marvin issue, your Marvin has overheating issues between the legs (forgive the pun) which causes the meltingit. Also try to lower extrusion temperature to get rid of the bubbles on the surface (visible on the Raspi case), . Try to reduce the temperature and get a cooling fan on the printed parts to freeze overhangs and prevent them from melting.

Raspi Case model was downloaded from the thingiverse.com. Many have tried it and didn’t get the problem I got. So model is fine. The printer already has cooling fan on extruder to cool the objects, though very small it is. I tried printing two Marvin and the overhangs was slightly reduced. I will try lowering the temperature as you suggested and will let you know. Thanks for your response.

For the case piece – To me it looks like you may want to check your belt tensions. The shift that you’re observing could well be caused by a loose best or even a loose pulley on the motor shaft. I’ve had a similar thing happen in the past and it’s at least worth checking.
