Well, the good ole iron duke decided its was ready for a full maintenance after having logged 4528 hours of print time. I have a QIDI Tech 2016 model dual extrusion as reference. I did a tear down of the gantry for maintenance…things replaced

**Rods were developing grooves, replaced with Misumi

**Carriage swapped for metal slider carriage

**hot end swapped for dual flexions

**Y sliders were swapped with new ones from QIDI

**Belts replaced

**heat bed replaced (original finally burned out)

**heater cartridges and thermocouples replaced with flexion install

**Pulleys replaced…this is an issue here

I replaced all the 17 tooth pulleys with 16 tooth pulleys ( was planning ahead for the even steps/mm since machine always had a -0.2mm undersized condition on XY no matter what sized print) See, all of my other production machines are custom built running DUET electronics so I wasn’t expecting to have an issue with changing the steps/mm for the new pulleys. Also, I slice with Simplify3D. What will I have to do to update this machine to work with the new pulleys. I would really like to use them considering the amount of effort I have in them (lather work to match original set)

This machines only job in life is printing out functional parts for my print farm and other miscellaneous projects while the print farm manages production.

THANKS!

That’s a lot of updates! Mine linking me to the updates right now the guys of my printer are hanging out waiting on new printer to arrive
