Dear hub friends

Maybe some of you have even your own webshops where you offer print of designs you made yourselves. Others might have thought of it.

What if such an infrastructure would be available via 3DHubs? I propose the possibility for hubs to have their own ‘webshops’ on 3DHubs where they could offer prints of their own designs for a fixed price (as e.g. the Fairphone cases). One could also go a step further and allow other hubs to print these designs as well and the inventor would receive some reasonable license fees. This doesn’t exclude open source designs; no one would be obliged to ask for license fees…

If a certain design is superior and gets a lot of attraction, 3DHubs could issue a badge for it…

Just some thoughts… what do you think?

cheers

Stefan

yes please

I think this is a great idea and really hope that this will be included some day.

Similar thoughts occured to me as well since I created a few designs that I’d like to enable others to order without releasing the .stl’s.

Thanks, Stefan, this sounds like a great idea! Would love to see what @Brian has to say about this

Good idea

Nice!

If there were a feature here like the store feature on Make, I would use it for sure.

I currently have an item designed specifically for a Hubs customer which has taken a bit more time to design due to my own indecision. I would love a place to sell copies of it to other hubs customers as well… making the effort I’ve put in more fruitfull.
