Hi

Did a large print to max height. It came out of the z-axis spindle. Now it will not reset to home position on the z-axis. I’ve replace the bed level sensor. I’ve now manually move the z-axis to the home position. Any idea?

Is your question how to manually move the Z axis down again or how to re-home the machine correctly or how to correctly set all of the offset values?

Hi Uscan

The question will be how to re-home the machine correctly. It is working for the Y & x axis but, not for the z-axis.

I’ve had this happen before. Try flashing the newest firmware to your printrboard. You may have to flash it one or two times.

Thanks for your reply.

I was hoping flashing to the newest firmware was not the answer, I have read that other people had problems flashing to the newest firmware. But, why it failed on the z-axis only?

Thanks.

Does M119 give correct results? M119 checks the status of all the limits. So do the command with the sensor not triggered, then again when. The red light comes on the inductive sensor. This should let you know if the microcontroller is getting the command correctly.

Hi

Thanks for your replies. I’m planning to do some test 3D printing this weekend. Hope to get back with some results.
