I have a monoprice maker select v2 . Been using it for about 3 months and working great with pla and little tweaking. Struggled with abs for a bit but got it doing well. Now (haven’t made any changes) it prints very porous even parts that should be solid . Any help would be appreciated

If you have had it printing well and this change happened without your adjusting anything, then it mey be environmental. Maybe ambient temperature or humidity. Have you changed filament? It could be that there is some old filament in the tip that is affecting the flow. Would you mind sharing your ABS settings? I havent had much luck with ABS and would like to test your settings.

my printers in my living room so it’s probably not environmental . Using the same ABS spool . I have taken the extruder apart and clean the nozzle and clean the teeth of the extruder gear with the same and results … My settings for abs are 250 on the extruder and 100 on the bed (glass with a thin layer of mega hold hairspray) … Actually had this printing very well before this started … Might try going back to pla tonight to see if it gives the same problem

Yes but none of them really match my issue . I’m starting to think I have moisture in my filament I’ve put it in a container with silica packets and rice going to leave it for one more night (makes 3 nights now) and see if it changes anything

over heating can cause the porous print problem you are describing.
the print heat is so hot that filament stays liquid long enough to move away from where it is deposited.
