I had a print stop due to loss of power right as it was about to print the top layers to close up the object on my University’s Z18. I want to just print on the top and I’ll fuse it via heat or adhesive once it’s printed. So my question is, is there any way in the MakerBot Software to have it only print a selection of layers instead of the whole object? or would I have to open the model in some 3d modeling software and cut it down to size?
Thanks!
If you have Simplify 3D you can chose a starting layer height so it would only print the top layers. If you don’t have it you will need to cut the part you want to print away from the part you don’t want to print using 3D Modeling software. If you want more specific help or a personal video guide on how to do it just email us at support@jmotechnology.com and we will help you. Thanks.
