I recently got a Da Vinci Mini and i know it doesn’t have a heated build plate which is a bummer… I put on the tape and pressed print and it draws a line along the side (which doesn’t stick) holds onto it and continues to spit out filament. Do i need to lower the extruder so it will touch the plate or almost touch? Thank you!

Hi Cade,

I have had best results with bare glass then apply a few light coats of hairspray immediately before printing. Can be wiped clean with isopropyl alcohol between prints.

Try an Elmer’s washable glue stick. Just coat the area of your build plate where you plan to print. The washable glue cleans up quite easily.

that definitely sucks not having heated bed if you’re printing ABS, I would recommend using glue stick it’s readable when you’re done with the print. Use a damp sponge and you can reuse the old glue on the bed.

All the best

Manually admjust the plate so that a biz card slides with some drag above each adjuster point. And use Elmer’s purple school glue. No messy tape!
