I have a distinct pattern forming on print walls (see picture)
On this 25mm test cube the pattern forms at 45 degrees and follows in line around the cube. The space between lines is about 3.3mm and about 0.03-0.06mm in height. The same thing has happened producing vertical lines up a print with the same dimensions, the pattern becomes more pronounced as the printing speed increases. The printer has a Swiss all metal hot end and the test cubes were produced with a 0.3 nozzle. With such a precise pattern could this point to the extruder stepper motor producing a pulse.
Any advice welcome on this problem
What slicer? My first guess is this is the start/stop point of each layer. If you can change the position of the start/stop points in the slicer you may see if this changes.

What type of printer? There are a few specific “bugs” in some printer firmwares that cause this.
You can also try reducing the print speed to see if it changes the lines to rule out resonance and mechanical issues.
Thanks for your comment. The printer is an upgraded Wanhao 3 plus, running the latest
Marlin firmware. Test printed at various speeds with same result.
Thanks for your comment. The slicer used was Matter Control matter slice. Old and latest versions of Cura have also been used along with Sli3r with same results.
