Hey Dan,
IF you go to www.3dhubs.com and under more filters you select: “I can help with 3d modeling” you’ll see everyone in your area who should be able to help you
Hopefully someone responds here as well
Dan,
Hi. Based in Falmouth.
My guess is that this would cost around £40-50. I’ll go back into my system to see if I can be more precise, after looking at past prints which come close to what you’re describing.
I’ve got a colleague who could almost certainly produce a printable CAD design, providing you are very precise with your desired measurements … but we would need to charge for his time - say, £10 for that.
Obviously, if you can produce your own STL file, that would save you money and time.
Happy to meet up though I would prefer this to be more at my end than yours. However, we can do quite a lot by email. and I could send over photographic attachments of past jobs so you can get a sense of the quality we produce.
Best wishes

Dan,
Depending on the precise design, this would take 10-15 hours to print and I aim to charge £5 per hour of printing.
If you are able to scale the object down, then you can bring the costs down.
Remember that halving the size reduces printing time by eight, so you could still get qn object close to your desired measurements which would take 8 hours to print.
Cheers
Louis

Hi Dan,
We are in Plymouth (See Mi Evans hub Plymouth on 3D hubs). 3D Print wise we can get pretty good resolution for print of basic shape but I’d need to know a little more about the ‘smooth’ part (how smooth?) - One option might be to reverse the print and make a casting mould and then to cast in something like water clear casting resin (http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/Water\_Clear\_Casting\_Resin.html) This could then be polished to glass smooth type finish… If you want to drop us a line through our hub then we’d be happy to have a chat…
Ideally to advise you properly we’d need to how strong it needs to be, purpose of use of end product, any weight/cost restrictions and desired finished look etc.
Regards
Mi.
