Hi all!

Hereby the presentation of the 3D Hubs & @ColorFabb Workshop from last Monday, February 16 (see attached .pdf). Included both the intro on 3D Hubs as well as the details on the ColorFabb filaments. Feel free to comment on this thread if you have any other questions or comments.

Some feedback we already got seem to revolve around 2 major points that need to improve:

1. More filament in sample pack.

We’ve discussed this with ColorFabb and will make sure future events will consist of larger sample packs (for the same price).

2. A longer event - room for more technical depth

We’re currently working on upgrading the presentation to make it 2x as long, with a lot more technical details and actionable examples. We plan to follow-up with more technical documentation as well. Finally, we’re considering changing the name of the event as “Workshop” might be associated with more interactivity that we can offer on this scale. Alternatively, we’re looking into possibilities on making the content more interactive and keeping the name as such.

Ok, that’s it for now. As this was the first event of its kind, I hope you will forgive me the rough edges and enjoyed the event as much as we did! I personally found it really inspiring to catch-up and look forward to more events with you all!

Cheers,

Filemon

Excelent… keep up the good work ColorfAbb & 3Dhubs team. It was great seeing and talking to you all. It was an event you can build on. I’m sure the attendees will return and share their experiences to make the next event even better…

PS: if you make updates to the presentation, can you share the infos’ here too…?

I am interested in learning more how to use the 3 calibration models, discussed in the colorFabb presentation: a) Hollow Pyramid for retraction settings, b) Torture Test as final overall test and c) Flow Test for max. vol/sec at a certain temp.

My questions:

  1. I would like to have a link to these files at Youmagine/Thingiverse to make sure I use the right 3D models for these tests.
  2. I would appreciate if a small interaction or guide could be shared how to execute these tests per test/3D model.

Thanks in advance!

Ok clear, I will get back to this after next week with an update!
