hello all!

i am considering purchasing a filament extruder to have control over quality and price of filament. Does anyone have or know of a good supplier of pellets and color masterbatches in the Vancouver area? A search online yielded no results…

Hey Mate,

This is charlie from China.

I want to know how many rolls filaments do you need? Maybe you can buy from us.

Best Regards,

Charlie

I don’t know of any in Vancouver, I suspect you might have to go abroad. Sorry I can’t help, but let me know if you decide to go through wiwith this, I’d be happy to buy some filament from you.

We will be doing this, it’s just a matter of finding good material at a reasonable price, once we start producing filament I will let you know, my goal is to be able to provide quality filament for myself and local makers at an affordable price. International shipping is a huge expense when buying already overpriced filament.

Makergeeks is in the U.S., but shipping should be reasonable.

Let me know if you need spools. I have tons of them. Lol

Thank you for the reply, the link you provided is a very high price as I can get filament for the same price per lb… The same problem with most PLA suppliers, all supply small quantities at high price.

what we need is 25kg bags reasonably priced

cheers!!

Alright, let me do some digging.

Did you try Filabot? It’s roughly $6/Kg, but I’m sure he would offer you a bulk discount for you. I also have a 15% discount, if you’re interested. that would bring it down to about $5/Kg.

That’s probably the best deal you’ll find in North America. Unless you’re willing to deal with China.

Filabot is one of the suppliers I am currently looking at, aswell as

Both are very similarly priced

Except that the other choice is $7/lb for Canada. Filabot would be half that, even less with discounts. The only bonus is the colorant. Which, may be less and more available in Canada already.

Did you ever find a source im looking myself?

I have about 100lbs of virgin pla pellets, I want CDN$ 2.50 a lb, I am in Surrey, email me if interested

Hey, I’m interested in getting some of these if they’re still available. What’s your email?

Hey man, I recently bought a filament extruder and have been looking for PLA Pellets.

I would be interested in buying 10 to 30 pounds I also live in Vancouver!
