Open question to all 3D-Printer users! What do you wish your Printer be able to do?

Would you like an improved user interface? An automatic filament changer? Or do you want to print food? Or something that we didn’t think of yet.

Our goal as a company is to improve existing 3D Printers. We already showed this with the

i3 Berlin, a re-design of the Prusa i3.

We are looking for new challenges. Please share your thoughts with us, so we can develop your perfect add-on.

Best regards from Berlin

Awesome. Challenge the way we 3D print - I love it!

A principle that I find very attractive is maybe not necessarily the idea of making the printer capable of doing incredible things, but more making a system which makes the simple 3D printing as foolproof as possible. Things like : self calibration , automation of print settings based on material inserted, automated stop once the print has really failed.

Obviously having this control would limit the printer very much, but it would also enable effortless 3D printing, which is absolutely essential for the mainstream adoption. You wouldn’t see regular printers in every office and every home if they would only work 50% of the time.

I really hope this comes soon

As @Arnoldas said a lot of helpful stuff would fit in the category of user-friendlyness. I have a Creatr HS by leapfrog and would like to be able to modify values of print settings during the print. I’m talking about print speed, extrusion multiplier and temperature mostly. Additionally stuff like Webcam streaming or WiFi access to the printer are very nice too. Lastly a plexiglass enclosure and electronics with higher temperature limits would be perfect to make the printer really good for experimental materials. A modular build, that enables quick (dis-) assembly would be good, if you want to take the printer to another place or ie to a presentation. Quickly changing filaments and maybe even changing between direct drive and bowden are features that I’m looking forward too. That should be all for now. Cheers, Marius Breuer

Hey guys! I’d like to be able to recycle failed prints directly into new ones. What about a second nozzle, much larger, like 1.5mm just for infill? It should be just a case of different g-code right? The Cel Robox does sth similar but the difference isn’t that great. The larger nozzle could double as a general paste extruder for chocolate etc.
