Hello, I’m the Operations Director at a small nonprofit and in response to repeated cuts to our funding we started a 3D printing, 3D scanning and 3D modeling service where all revenue goes to support our disability-related services.
About a year ago we purchased a 3D printer kit called The Beast, which is a large volume, open-source printer that has the capability of using up to 4 extruders. We only bought two E3D titan direct drive extruders and Volcano hotends with the intention of using the printer with two extruders utilizing the entire build volume. Unfortunately, the engineer assembling our printer assembled it with two x-axis carriages as if it was going to be used in 4-extruder synchronous printing, and this is how the steppers were calibrated.
We are looking for someone with experience building 3D printers who would be willing to fix our assembly so that it uses only two extruders and the entire build volume. We are willing to pay for someone’s time, you can reach me at joe@access3dservices.com or at 203-403-7041 if you think you are able to help. We are located in Stratford, Connecticut.
Thanks,
Joe
